. . I frequently check out the local book shops in the Ontario towns we visit throughout the year. Below you will find the book shops which are my personal favourites.
To make my list of Book Shops, a store must carry books of interest to the Pagan. Also, they must have a friendly attitude and be wiling to help if I ask a question.
London Ontario is by far, in my opinion, the best city to buy books in, both new and used. If you are Pagan and live in or close to London, take a walk through the downtown core. There are several good used book shops all within walking distance of each other. If you're seeking something recently published, then take a trip to Mandala Book Shop on Central Avenue. It is contained in a beautiful old house with little rooms filled with mystical books, treasures, and Tarot cards. You will find the staff friendly and very helpful.
Coming a close second to London for wonderful book shops is Ottawa, Ontario. Sunnyside Bookshop is another mystical shop filled with books to cheer the Pagan heart. They also sell Tarot cards and music tapes and CDs.
If you are in the Kitchener/Waterloo - Cambridge area check out Utopia on Main Street. They have a small selection of books of interest, tarot cards, stones, masks, incense, jewellery and other treasures.
In Toronto, a great source for used books on the craft is Eliot's Book Shop on Yonge St. north of Bloor, on the west side and Orion Books Worldwide also on the west side of Yonge Street. For new books, my favourite is The Eternal Moment Bookstore on Bloor Street West.
